 The ISCF Mission For Mixed
Martial Arts...
"Safety, Credibility, Fairness,
Recognition, Support & Unification of Mixed Martial Arts Around The
World"
"The goal of the International Sport Combat
Federation is to regulate safe and fair rules and regulations and help provide
exposure and opportunities for local, regional, national and international
competition among amateur and professional mixed martial arts fighters,
trainers, promoters and officials. We will, through adherence to and enforcement
of these rules and regulations, strive to make competitive mixed martial arts
fighting a safe and fair sport as we continue to help bring exposure to and
enhance the present as well as the future of the sport we serve, Mixed Martial
Arts." Steve Fossum,
President International Sport Combat Federation |
WHAT IS THE
ISCF? The
ISCF is a Worldwide Sanctioning Body for
the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and currently the Largest Neutral
Sanctioning Body (In terms of number of sanctioned events) in the World.
Other than the annual ISCF Amateur World Classic (The Golden Gloves of
MMA) The ISCF does not
Promote events and is NOT a Promotional Company. The ISCF is a "Sanctioning Body" for
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events just like other sanctioning bodies for
fight sports (Kickboxing: IKF, ISKA, WKA, USKBA etc. - Boxing: WBC, IBF, WBC
etc.). |
|
SANCTIONING When the ISCF is called upon to
SANCTION
an event, the name of the event does not change. In fact, very little does
change. The ISCF works with each Promoter
and or Promotional Company
individually.
Many times these Promoter's and or Promotional Companies ask to use their known
officials. In this case, the ISCF requests
the promoters to send them a bio of their requested officials and from there,
makes the determination if an official is well qualified or may need additional
Certification Training.
If the Promoter and or Promotional Company has no requested officials, the
ISCF will appoint his/her officials from
the already approved ISCF
Officials list.

Sanctioning includes Click

RULES Many
times a Promoter and or Promotional
Company ask to use their particular rules, which may have slight
modifications from the
ISCF Rules.
Often these rules are adjusted or modified with little or no problems at all
making the addition of ISCF Sanctioning to
Promoter and or Promotional
Company events even easier. In addition, the ISCF Organization is sometimes asked to follow the
rules of a jurisdictions Athletic Commission's requirements of the region the
event is promoted in which of course the Promoter and or
Promotional Company
and the ISCF would be required to follow.
If a promoter requests the ISCF
to make any such changes, the ISCF and the
event promoter will be required to inform the State Boxing/Athletic Commission
in which the fight(s) will take place in of any such amendments. |

TITLE BOUTS The ISCF, like other sanctioning bodies for fight sports
(Kickboxing: IKF, ISKA, WKA, USKBA etc. - Boxing: WBC, IBF, WBC etc.),
do offerISCF Titles.
However the difference of the
ISCF Titles are many. To begin with, every
ISCF Title won is either located on an up
to date Rankings Page
or, if the title has been retired, it is listed on our Past Champions Page.
ISCF Titles can be
contended for on ANY MMA Event around the world regardless of the
Promoter, Promotional Company
or group name. Any Promoter, Promotional Company or group name. can host their
own titles, however since the ISCF
supports and represent MMA as a whole, the ISCF
titles are known as the neutral and unified titles of the MMA World.
The ISCF is in charge of
Hosting the ISCF Amateur World Classic. This event is
the true The Golden Gloves of MMA. At right is one of the 2007 Amateur Champions
holding his ISCF World Classic Title Belt. |
|
NEUTRAL HOME As
you can see, the ISCF is not making a bid
to CHANGE MMA around the world. As everyone reading this knows, there are a lot
of Great MMA Promoter's and or Promotional
Companies who do know the rules of MMA. Again, the ISCF is here as a neutral home and if needed, a
support organization for all MMA Promoter's and or Promotional Companies to provide a neutral and
unified event and possibly Title that is recognized by all of the Promoter's and
or Promotional Companies
around the world.

|
RANKINGS The
ISCF
Rankings are from a neutral opinion of MMA Associates around the
world. Any MMA fighter is allowed to
join our rankings at a small "1
Time" fee of $25.00. (Pro & Amateur Rankings ) The
ISCF Rankings provide a neutral site where
other event promoters can seek out potential fighters for their events. Better
yet is the ease of contacting these fighters since the ISCF
rankings include phone numbers and e-mail addresses when provided by the
fighters. This alone is a great assist to any fighter who is serious about
competing in MMA. In addition, even promoters who may not choose to sanction
their events with the ISCF also visit the
ISCF
Ranking pages looking for fighters for their events. The fighters
ranked in the ISCF Rankings are not ISCF MMA Fighters. They are MMA Fighters! They can
fight on ANY MMA Event whether sanctioned by the ISCF
or not.
|
|

EXPOSURE In addition to a Neutral
Ranking Structure for the MMA, the ISCF
has other things to offer MMA Promoter's and or Promotional Companies. Since the ISCF is a Neutral Organization that supports all MMA
Organizations we offer Pre and Post Press Releases of all ISCF Sanctioned events on the
ISCF
News Page and we list all ISCF
Sanctioned events on the
ISCF
Upcoming Events Page.
|
|
UNIFICATION As
you can see, the ISCF is not just another
title to win in the MMA World. The ISCF
knows how important it is for the Promoter and or Promotional Company to have their Name on their own
Titles. However, a title won on any Promotional Companies event can also carry the ISCF name as well, for example, "The CAGE RAGE
ISCF World Title!" etc. etc. The
justification to have your MMA Titles and your event sanctioned by the ISCF is because the title won can always be
contended for on other ISCF Sanctioned
Events around the world. also, all fighters as well as the title fighters and
champions will gain public recognition by being in the
ISCF
Rankings. Remember, "EVERY" ISCF Title "EVER" won is either
located on an up to date Rankings
Page or, if the title has been retired, it is listed on our
Past Champions Page.
|
|
ISCF
Sanctioning comes with much more than just "Letters and a logo for your
poster..." ISCF Sanctioning means
more exposure to the Promoter and or Promotional Companies events as well from everything
noted above. With this concept in mind, this will bring a clear answer to the
question of "WHO is truly the BEST in each weight division in
the Mixed Martial Arts..."
|
|
"We hope that as a as a Neutral
Sanctioning Body for the Mixed Martial Arts the ISCF
can help you gain the worldwide exposure your event deserves and the
deserved credibility of a True Mixed Martial Arts. Champion. We hope to
work with you on your next event."
